Poppies

Over the years we’ve had beautiful red poppies growing in our garden. We have never known where they came from originally, although our house is built on what used to be a farmer’s field, so I guess they could have lain dormant. But each year they’ve got more and more and then this year – up popped this pretty specimen. The leaves are exactly the same on both the pink and red poppies. I imagine it to be a throwback. Has anyone any other ideas.
