I published my last post before Christmas – or so I thought. I just checked and it wasn’t there. So I’ve uploaded it again.

I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas, that you didn’t eat or drink too much, and that you’re ready to enjoy your New Year celebrations.

Christmas Greetings

The festive season is almost upon us and so I’d like to take this opportunity of wishing all my readers and followers a Very Happy Christmas and Good Health and Prosperity in the New Year.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the trouble to read my blog over the last twelve months and sometimes added comments. A writer’s life can be very lonely so they are very much appreciated.

Life won’t be back to normal until the New Year when I shall settle down to my writing again and hopefully have none of the interruptions which always take over at this time of year.

Once again – Enjoy your Christmas and New Year. I’ll raise a glass – or two – to you all!

THE WINNER!

The winner of my November contest was Karen!

Many congratulations.

BLACKMAILED INTO HIS ARMS will be on its way to you shortly.

I’m back!

Normal service has been resumed. Well, as normal as it can be at this time of year.
My sister-in-law has returned to Australia and I wish I had gone with her as the temperatures here in the UK are decidedly chilly.

On the upside, we were driving into town yesterday when we were joined by two swans. We had seen them sitting on a nest in an adjacent field for some time, then we saw their offspring growing bigger and bigger. Then yesterday morning they flew right overhead and a little way in front, almost leading us. It was a magnificent sight and I wish I’d had my camera with me. Even then I doubt I would have been quick enough to capture the image.

My writing has definitely taken a back seat, and will remain there now until after Christmas, probably until the New Year.

My s-i-l’s visit interrupted our hall paper hanging but that is all done now – the trouble is it shows up all the other rooms. Not that anyone will notice now that we have put up our Christmas decorations. I’ve gone for an all gold theme this year and the tree looks lovely. I know that in the US you virtually decorate the whole house, but here we only do the living room and a little in the hallway.

How are you getting on with yours?
