After the harsh winter the flower blossoms have been magnificent. None more so than the miniature apple tree we have in our garden Of course the blossom has gone now and the apples are growing and I can’t wait to make some apple pies.

I seem to have slowed down with my current book so I am now making myself write in earnest. Not that I ever manage to write as many words in a day as I used to. Just a measly one thousand the last two days. But at least Holly and Rafe’s story is progressing.

I may have mentioned this the last time there was a volcanic eruption in Iceland, but in case you missed it – I set my fourth book there, calling it LAND OF ICE AND FIRE . A short time later I was invited out to dinner with Alan Boon and he told me that they preferred books set in warm countries because heat spelled passion. I never set any more books in a cold country.
