Margaret Mayo, Romance Author

I’ve not been feeling well all the week. I caught a bug that’s spreading across the country, starting off with sickness and a stomach ache, turning into a cough and cold that will not be shaken.

I’ve done no writing so have nothing to report. Poor Elena and Vidal must wonder what’s happened to them. They’re stuck on the second day of their arranged marriage wondering where it’s going to take them.

I must get back to them soon.

I hope you feel better soon, Margaret. Nasty bug, I caught it in the week that I was back in Wales visiting the family!

Thanks, Chris, for your well wishes. I’m feeling much better now, apart from a nuisance cough. I’m going to see what Elena and Vidal have been up to in my absence!

Glad to see that you are better Margaret. I have been suffering from The Cold as well so know what you are going through…
Nell Dixon gave me some advice about the cough — a teaspoon of honey does more than most cough preparations at controlling the cough reflex.

Thanks for the advice about the honey, Michelle. I did try lemon and honey but that didn’t seem to work. But as I like honey – a few spoonfuls won’t go amiss.
Hope you’re feeling better too. At least we’ve got over and done with before Christmas.
